UK Q Magazine August 2018: IGGY POP Underworld BON IVER Stewart Lupton OLLY ALEXANDER

UK Q MAGAZINE - August 2018 - Brand new condition

In the new issue of Q, Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh chairs an exclusive summit between Iggy Pop and Underworld. Welsh gathers the legendary singer and the ‘90s techno dons to a Miami hotel and then on to Pop’s home to find out how their secret collaboration, resulting in the Teatime Dub Encounters EP, came about. “Is there hope for me at two in the morning in Ibiza?” asks Pop of his new friends.

Laura Snapes hears about the traumatic creation of Years & Years’ second album, Palo Santo.

In our Classic Album feature, we chart the making of Bon Iver’s debut For Emma, Forever Ago. On the 10th anniversary of its full release, Laura Barton follows the paths back to its inception and speaks to those who witnessed it.

As the frontman with Jonathan Fire*Eater in the '90s, Stewart Lupton was witty, precarious, magnetic, extraordinary, beautiful and faintly dangerous. He influenced a generation of New York groups in the '00s but his star burned too brightly and then out. This May, he took his own life, aged 43. Laura Barton recalls a special talent in the company of his best friends and biggest fans.
